Andreas Bleckmann is a portrait photographer based in Hastings, United Kingdom.

Bleckmann left his native Germany to move to New York in the mid-eighties, where he produced his first photographic body of work, focused mainly on portraiture and street scenes.

He relocated to East London in the 90s and began working as an editorial and commercial photographer, shooting fashion and portraits for international clients and magazines.

Bleckmann left London in 2017 and moved to Hastings, a fishing town on the south coast of England and started producing a series of portraits and landscapes around a short stretch of coastline called Rock-a-Nore.

The project is nearing the final stage, but could go on for a few more years…
